What in the world is going on with these crazy kids now days. A 13 year old girl and her 15 year old boyfriend/friend stabbed the girl's mom in the garage in Ocala. ??????
This is what happens when you cannot discipline your kids anymore without them someone calling cps and accusing you of child abuse. Didn't hear stuff like this when I was growing up! Why? Because parents spanked their kids and kids were slightly in fear of doing something wrong. This is the way it should be. When kids loose their fear or respect of their parents, they have a tendency to do stupid, thoughtless acts. Sad but truer every day.
I totally agree with you both, Sharon and Janae. Even though we want to be fair as parents there is a boundary that we cannot allow them to cross. I am working on keeping that boundary line visible. My kids know that when I am quiet, that is when they should be worried. That is when I am thinking of what consequences to put forth into action. This is what makes them start thinking about their behaviors and doing better, even for just a little while, but at least they do think about it all.
